[AD] Darlings, it’s hard to put into words just HOW magical the past couple of months in London were for me 🥹🇬🇧. Returning to travel is truly a return to myself, my personal style, and there is no better accessory for the journey than my new Eco-Drive @CitizenWatchUS!

Hello Loves!! This month marks 8 YEARS 😱 as a full-time illustrator and content creator and I still cannot believe that this is what I do for a living. No matter how much I grow and evolve, my love for what I do never falters.

At the moment, I’m currently waiting on a few client project approvals before sharing here, so I hope you don’t mind revisiting one of my past (and favorite) editorial commissions I’ve worked on in recent years 🥰.

This 6-page spread for AVENUE @avenueinsider was such an artistic indulgence in all things sparkly and LUXE. Rendering gold GUCCI sequins and Chopard diamonds was an absolute thrill. My trusty gouaches never fail me when it comes to details.

With that, I cannot wait to share everything I’ve been working on these past few months!! I have a feeling you are going to love what’s in store. Never stop believing in the power of your vision and dreams, sweet friends!!

It all started with a chic chalet scene ❄️🎿💖!! Actually, truth be told, this was the last piece I painted for the @Dogwood.Hill x @TravelWriteDraw Holiday 2022 Stationery Collection but it became the pièce de résistance 🤌🏼. I still cannot believe how the DH design team was able to extract so many elements from this single landscape illustration and turn it into a repeat print for wrapping paper and envelope liners 🤩. The beauty of collaboration, am I right?!

Those of you who have followed my journey through the years, know just how much I’ve always wanted my art in this category. It was such a dream to see photos of your gifts for loved ones, wrapped in last year’s designs, under your trees!!

This year’s design is so unique and such a fun fashion twist on what we did previously. I cannot wait to see it decorate your cherished treasures this holiday season. I also want to express the BIGGEST thank you to everyone who has already ordered from the collection!! Left my heart in London but I promise to be back super soon 🥹💖🇬🇧!! There are no words to describe just how magical and revitalizing the past ten weeks were across the pond!! I stayed as long as I possibly could, but alas business was/is calling me to North America for the next two months. It feels so very strange to wake up and not be able to see the people I love in London on a moment’s notice.

Walking down Regent Street every morning in the sunshine, my solo breakfasts at The Wolseley, workdays (and nights) at 67 Pall Mall, dancing until closing time on Soho’s Greek Street, witnessing all the incredible street style along the way; my heart is bursting from the memories 😭!! Thank you for joining me, every step. I can’t wait to share what new travels and project launches are in store for us this Fall!!

I’m truly at a loss for words 💔. Being in London at this particular moment in time is beyond surreal. Can you imagine committing to such a role at just 21 years old?! I’m, simply put, in awe of her strength. Thank you for everything 🥺. May She Rest in Peace 👑.

One of my favorite moments from my first trip to Ireland 🇮🇪 was getting to visit my darling friend Susie’s secondary school, Loreto Abbey Dalkey, perched on the rocky seashore of this former fishing village 🎣🤩!! It opened its doors officially in 1843, with its stunning castle like appearance. Can you imagine going to classes everyday in somewhere as beautiful and majestic as this 🏰✨?! As someone who grew up in a relatively modern suburban area in Ontario, Canada, I can’t help but appreciate the history and grandeur of it all!! xx MM

Dublin’s Ha’penny Bridge 🇮🇪🎨 painted as I felt it, rather than how I saw it 🤩. This city is bursting with color, good energy, and kindness. I wanted to reflect that in this piece as best as I could. I also used @ChoosingKeeping’s iridescent gansai paint for a little layer of misty sparkle ✨ which is ever present in the weather there. I’d love to see this piece on a dress one day. Happy, glowing, heart after my very first visit to Ireland ✨🇮🇪 and mini road-trip reunion with my darling friend Susie 🚙👯‍♀️!! Her and I met 7 years ago while traveling through Africa and have been trying ever since to reconnect in person. Finally our schedules aligned this summer and I jumped at the opportunity to go see her and her home in Dublin 🥰.

I’ve learned many important lessons these past two years. One of them being to spend as much time as possible with the people you love. I knew from the moment I met Susie that she would be a cherished friend for life. I can’t describe just how grateful I am for this time we had together 😭💖. To everyone who shared this journey with us these past few days, thank you!! Your joy brought even more joy to us.

We decided to join in on the Ferragosto festivities and ventured down to Isola Bella for an authentic locale experience. 🌴🌊🌺 ISOLA BELLA 🌺🌊🌴!! Known as The Pearl of the Ionian Sea, this tiny nature reserve, attracts locals and tourists alike for a decadent day at the beach ⛱. I couldn’t quite capture the feeling of being there in a photograph. This scene simply begged to be painted 🥰🎨. More Sicily inspired artwork to come, darlings.
