When you focus on the good, the good gets better ✨

Here’s a collection of some of my favorite NYC moments so far this year, with a little Naples and Miami sprinkled in. It’s funny – for the longest time, I felt like I lacked a real sense of community in the U.S., even after living here for over a decade. But looking through my photo album from the past few months, I realize just how wrong I was. The grass is greener where you water it, and being approved to live here permanently has allowed me to truly tend to my garden 🥹🌿. Here’s to always seeking the light, no matter how cloudy the skies may be.

My oh my, I can’t even begin to tell you how much I needed this trip. As a Canadian Ukrainian who just got their Green Card to live permanently in the U.S., the start of 2025 has been nothing short of dizzying and anxiety-inducing. But Antigua—its beauty, the laughter shared, the fresh perspective—has been the ultimate reset for my heart and soul 🥹😭.

I’m feeling recharged and ready to keep sharing the gorgeous corners of this world and all the goodness I believe in. I started this ✨Flower Girl✨ fashion illustration series in 2020, during the pandemic, intending to create one for each season. Each piece was titled with a word that captured how I wanted to feel in that moment. But as jobs picked up, I never got around to finishing the 4th & final season, till now.

At long last, Winter JOY has arrived!!

My loves!! With London Fashion Week officially upon us, I thought it would be fun (and useful) to compile some of my fave spots from my soul city 🇬🇧✨. After 6 years of back-to-back extended stays in London, I feel like I have some authority on the topic 😆. That made it all the more challenging to reduce this to a 20 photo carousel!!

Full disclosure, a big part of London culture is having access to private members clubs. I wanted to make sure that what I recommended was accessible to anyone and everyone visiting. This list barely scratches the surface, honestly, and I’ll likely have to do another one in the future. These are just a handful of my tried and true spots that I return to.

Storytime: In honor of the @CalvinKlein Collection returning to the runway at NYFW, here’s a throwback to one of my most surreal career moments—being commissioned to sketch live backstage at their FW15 show 🥹✍🏼✨.

I’ll never forget opening that email with the “Subject Line: Calvin Klein + Travel Write Draw” from CK Corp 😭. I was barely six months into running TWD full-time at that point. And suddenly there I was, sketchbook in hand, feverishly capturing one of the season’s biggest shows, while Francisco Costa and Anna Wintour meticulously reviewed each final look. The exhilaration of that moment is something I’ll never forget.

Over the past decade, I’ve pivoted more toward the travel industry, but my fashion roots remain so dear to me. I feel incredibly fortunate that the start of my career aligned with the rise of Instagram, paving the way for so many illustrators—myself included—to turn their passion into their profession.

I’m often asked about my favorite places I’ve

I’m often asked about my favorite places I’ve traveled to, and honestly, it’s an impossible question to answer. But the more I reflect on it, the more I think about the destinations that profoundly shifted my perspective—on the world and my small but meaningful place in it 🥹🌎✨.

So, in no particular order, here are the Top 5 trips that have shaped my worldview thus far:

1. Egypt 🇪🇬 – Theorizing about the origins of the pyramids is still one of my favorite things to geek out over.

2. Japan 🇯🇵 – The artistry in everything they do, the food, the graciousness and humility of the people, the calm within the chaos.

3. Tanzania 🇹🇿 – Camping in the Serengeti, witnessing the circle of life unfold, the animals taking only what they need.

4. India 🇮🇳 – The kindness, the colors, the intricate craftsmanship, the block prints, the balance of tradition and modernity.

5. Peru 🇵🇪 – The unparalleled generosity, the freshest and greatest food I’ve ever had, the wisdom of the Inca empire, the energy of Cusco and the Sacred Valley.

Friends, I’m SO honored to share with you, my McGill Management Insights podcast episode, recorded with my brilliant alma mater @DesautelsMcGill 👩🏼‍🎓!! If you know me well, then you likely know how surreal it is for me to be recognized by my former Uni 🥹. Truth be told, I always felt like a bit of an outlier pursuing my BComm.

I did not thrive in finance and I certainly didn’t dream of a career in banking 😆. I did, however, fall in love with the international and entrepreneurial essence of McGill Management all those years ago. I didn’t know it then but McGill completely expanded my worldview and molded me into the business owner I am today.

I hope my story stands as a testimony that your journey is uniquely YOURS. Trust your instincts above all else because only YOU know what you are truly capable of!! Lean into your interests. Do not stress if you don’t have all your answers. The universe is ALWAYS working for your greater good, even when the path forward is unclear and winding.
