Tory Burch “Sketch Workshops” 2019 Recap

Without a doubt, one of the most rewarding partnerships of my career has to be the “Sketch Workshops” I designed and taught for Tory Burch this Fall. Not only did I get to team up with a brand that I absolutely adore and admire, I got to travel to four different cities while doing so, to meet longtime TravelWriteDraw family members and share my love of art with them.

Here I am standing with the gorgeous (inside and out) mother & daughter duo, Amy and Darian Greening, in the Yorkdale Toronto Tory Burch Boutique. Amy has been one of my most loving and supportive community members for as long as I can remember. She drove 2hrs to attend my workshop and when she arrived she presented me with an illustration she created inspired by all my travels. I immediately started to cry!! I am again now as I type this.

We kicked off the workshops with a bang in Toronto, filling every seat in the house!! This was my first real event in my hometown and it was amazing to see so many of my former co-workers come through, fellow fashion illustrators, and of course share the experience with my mom and sister.

From Toronto I headed to Charlotte, Scottsdale, and concluded my tour in San Francisco!! The San Francisco event was so popular we had to cut the RSVP list and pull out several extra rows of chair. I was so elated to see such an amazing turnout. Every city was so special in their own way. I will forever cherish the conversations I had with the attendees and getting to see their confidence grow from the start to end of class. Thank you again to the Tory Burch team for bringing me on for this. Here’s to many more!
