Limitless with Acer America

I’m often asked during podcast interviews, how I run the business side of TravelWriteDraw. Interviewers are shocked to learn that I spend nearly 95% of my time on my laptop answering new inquiries and dealing with the logistics of contracts, invoices, and running my site.

I spend nearly two-thirds of the year traveling on airplanes and working in remote places, from hotel rooms to far-flung cafés. It is so imperative for me to have a laptop that is near weightless (to not add more weight to a suitcase of art supplies), feels stylish, and also is a guaranteed workhorse.

I built the TravelWriteDraw brand with a 10-year old computer. I carried that weight both literally and figuratively for far too long, so you can imagine how utterly elated I was when Acer America approached me about their new Swift 7. I was dying to try it! And since receiving it, I have a few words to share…

  1. I have never felt more empowered and chic working on a laptop. The Swift 7 is black and gold. Something about the design makes me feel like I can take on the world. It feels limitless, which is how I see my opportunities in the world.
  2. It weighs next to nothing! This laptop is lighter than most magazines I carry with me at the airport. Prior to receiving the Swift 7, I would leave my old laptop at home during inspiration trips because I couldn’t carry the weight. That problem is officially behind me.
  3. The ability to view high-res imagery (which, as you know, is rather important as an illustrator) is impeccable. It has a 14-inch Full HD, IPS touchscreen display. I’m not going to pretend that I know exactly what all that means, but what I DO know is that I can see my art a heck of a lot more clearly on this beauty.
  4. Oh, and did I mention it has a 10-hour battery life?! No more frantically asking strangers to switch tables at cafés just so I can be closer to a power outlet.

I’m about to embark on a new, epic journey whereby I’ll be working remotely from London for the summer. I couldn’t feel any more capable of the task now that I have my Swift 7 with me. Check out more here or click on the banner below!
