Grab your swimsuits, sunblock, and painting supplies, my loves, because this Saturday May 16 @ 1 PM EST on IG LIVE we are heading to the FRENCH RIVIERA for the third installment of the #TWDPaintChallenge!! Week after week, hundreds of you continue to join me and WOW one another with your incredible talents!! I’ve carefully constructed each lesson plan so that we build up the composition from one destination to another. With ROME we started with a foreground composition and with MARRAKECH we progressed using perspective. This week we will be integrating a figure for the first time in the FRENCH RIVIERA!!
We will be painting from this image above which my dear friend Jonny Blamire (Creative Director of @BrandReveller) took of me last summer during our trip to the Côte d’Azur. Disclaimer: before you start to think of me as a total narcissist for having you paint a photo of me (insert laugh cry emoji here), for the purpose of avoiding copyright issues or needing a signed model release, I felt it was the safest route to continue illustrating from my own personal photos.
Supplies for Saturday:
- Watercolor paper, white multipurpose sketch pad, or computer paper.
- 1/2 inch angle brush, size 5 or 8 round brush, and size 0 round for details.
- Primary set of watercolors, gouaches, or acrylics.
- Colored pencils.
- Ruler and eraser.
